Winning his $139,800 Bluegrass Stake on 10-3-09 with a 1:50.3 mile coming first up over a fast track (27.1 LQ) was impressive enough but the following week sealed the deal as he gunned out a 26.3 final fraction in his $119,300 International Stallion Stake division pacing a first over mile from 3rd at the ½, 2nd by a nose at the ¾, going toe to toe with season’s leader One More Laugh and pulling away by 2 lengths across the finish over a track rated sloppy with a capital S! His Breeders Crown victory on 10-24-09 again reflected the gutsy colt’s determination and fortitude as he rallied from 6th at the ½ mile marker and on the hunt for the lead by the ¾ third and three wide.
